Tuesday : Knightbridge - Hyde Park - V&A

I walk to Martina's who lives nearby for our projected visit to the

Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts.

It is a nice walk through
St. James- and Green Park.

Buckingham Palace in the distance

Jim Lambie has responded to the architecture of our neo-classical staircase with this intricate installation, made from hundreds of pieces of coloured vinyl tape.
Sculpture is the focus in the Lecture Room

Magenta enhances the colours and form of the individual works selected to hang in Gallery III

After saying goodbye to Martina, who leaves for Spain, I walk to Piccadilly Circus , Regent Street & Oxford Street  to Hyde Park (Serpentine Lake)

The Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, better known as Brompton Oratory, is home to the Congregation of the Oratory of St Philip Neri in London, a community of priests living under the rule of life established by its founder in the sixteenth century. The Oratory also serves as a parish church in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Westminster.

At the Victoria & Albert museum I visit the Shoes exhibition and buy a ticket for the Alexander McQueen exhibition in 2 days, on Friday.

I take the underground from South Kensington to Victoria  & Pimlico to return home.

Later I walk to Laura and Jon's flat, where I am invited for dinner.
